Healing Music

For my 50th birthday, Su, Heiko and Jamil, (I am privileged to call them my good friends), gave me a CD of music compilation comprising No. 1 hits selected each year from 1962 (the year I was born) until 2012. It was two-and-a-half hour long, spanning from Sinatra to Bon Jovi to Bruno Mars. What a gift! Music, that mysterious combination of sounds and words, can put us in a state of sweet relaxation almost immediately. To think of the artistes who have written and produced such work, over the years for our enjoyment and the legions of fans who loved and bought the albums. And now, my friends who created this special gift, continuing with the labour of love. Thanks Su, Heiko and Jamil. I will treasure it forever.

The start of your healing journey

People work long hours, dashing from meeting to meeting, home to office, office to home and gravitating from one activity to another. It can be difficult to contemplate taking the time to allow yourself to forget everything and leave your body in the hands of a good massage therapist. Your muscles need to relax and ease up, your mind need to disconnect from stress. Find an hour a week or even an hour a month, to give yourself the gift of a good, soothing massage. The benefits of a good massage can be therapeutic, re-energising, even healing for you.
