The healing power of a good weekend
I must remember to relax, breathe and leave space for 'me' time - not cram too much into this weekend. The important thing is to say 'no' to anything that does not completely resonate with you. And 'yes' to those that you truly care about. And how do you know? It's when your heart, body and soul are aligned and your whole being leans forward towards that thing. Like museums, beautiful gardens, good plays and books, music that you like and ...last but not least, spending time alone with just you.

Healing Music
For my 50th birthday, Su, Heiko and Jamil, (I am privileged to call them my good friends), gave me a CD of music compilation comprising No. 1 hits selected each year from 1962 (the year I was born) until 2012. It was two-and-a-half hour long, spanning from Sinatra to Bon Jovi to Bruno Mars. What a gift! Music, that mysterious combination of sounds and words, can put us in a state of sweet relaxation almost immediately. To think of the artistes who have written and produced such work, over the years for our enjoyment and the legions of fans who loved and bought the albums. And now, my friends who created this special gift, continuing with the labour of love. Thanks Su, Heiko and Jamil. I will treasure it forever.

Moisurise, moisturise, moisturise
With the hot weather at its peak (it's June in Singapore) tempers get shorter and work days long. Headaches are often experienced by those more sensitive to heat and rising temperatures. Moisture, in the form of clean, pure drinking water for your internal system is essential. Good, relaxing, gentle massages by your therapist will help to ease your kinks and keep the skin well moisturised afterwards. Falling into a short slumber on the massage table is not unexpected. Sweet dreams!

Ease away negative emotion
Lately there's been a lot of bad news in the papers; rape, incest, violence among youth, elder abuse, reading about all of it makes all the negative emotion rise up in me. When I turn on the tv, there's even more bad news, violence, killing and social injustice in developing countries etc...where can we go to disallow these accumulated emotional pain in us ruin our wellbeing? Being in the gentle care of a skilled massage therapist can help to ease and coax the negative emotion away. In fact, if you're a sensitive soul like me, it's essential.

Call me for a massage
I will be happy to give you a relaxing, quality massage for a 90 minute session. Why 90 minutes? Because a good massage starts with having enough time for you, the client, to wind down, practise deep breathing and drift to your inner sanctum of serenity while I, your therapist coax your muscles to a state of relaxtion. (Take a deep breath right now and e-x-h-a-l-e slowly).
I am a qualified massage therapist (WDA certified) in traditional Javanese massage (including post natal and weight loss binding) although for body aches and tension, I would recommend aromatheraphy full body oil massages. Rates: $70 (90 min/full body) / $40 (Back, Shoulder & Neck). You can come to my place in pasir ris or I can do a home visit (subject to location/distance). Please send me a text message or give me a call on my mobile 84000340 and we can have a nice chat. Lovingly, Dew.
